  • XDefiant Preseason will come to an end on July 1, 2024.
  • We expect that Season 1 will start on July 2, 2024.
  • Season 1 will bring a new Faction codenamed Ruby, 3 new weapons, 3 new maps, and a new Battle Pass.

XDefiant, the latest online FPS game from Ubisoft has captured the competitive and casual crowds alike. After several betas, the game has been released to Preseason. Even after a couple of patches, the players are clamouring for the main dish – the official update and start of Season 1.

What is the end date for XDefiant Preseason?

The Preseason started on May 21 and, according to Ubisoft, is expected to last for six weeks. If everything goes along with the plan, we expect the Preseason to end on July 1, 2024.

When will XDefiant Season 1 start?

There is no official date for the start of Season 1 yet. However, we can guess that it will take one to two days for the new season to be deployed. This will likely take place during scheduled maintenance when we can expect a big patch along with the seasonal update.

With that in mind, that would put the start of Season 1 on July 2, but that is still only our speculation at this point. Each season of XDefiant is planned to last for three months, with a roadmap already laid out for Year 1.

What is coming in Season 1?

There is a lot to be excited about when the inaugural season comes around. Along with the expected balance patch that will accompany the new season, there are several exciting novelties to look forward to:

  • New Faction with codename Ruby
  • Three new weapons
  • Three new maps
  • New Battle Pass with 90 tiers

If you are wondering if Ranked play is coming with Season 1, we can’t give you a definitive answer. According to Mark Rubin, Ranked is coming in a “future season”, so it’s unclear if we’re going to get a dedicated competitive mode as early as Season 1.

The same goes for new game modes, since we know that Ubisoft plans to add more, but none have yet been announced for the start of Season 1. We will keep an eye on any news and update you with any new information.
