Asked to bat first, West Indies kept on losing wickets at regular intervals as the Kiwi bowlers comfortably dominated them. For West Indies, Rutherford was the highest run-scorer as he smashed 68* runs off 39 balls. Apart from him, no other batter crossed even the 20-run mark.
