From December 2025 to March 2026, Austrian Airlines is rolling out an exciting new offering called the “Dubai Deal.”
This limited-time experiment brings budget-friendly flights to Dubai, operating five times weekly using the airline’s efficient A320neo fleet.
With round-trip fares starting at just EUR 314, this deal makes the vibrant Middle Eastern city more accessible during the peak winter travel season.
By tapping into extra capacity in its medium-haul schedule, Austrian Airlines is shaking up the market with this bold move.
Why the Dubai Deal?
“We’d rather keep our planes flying than parked,” says Annette Mann, CEO of Austrian Airlines. “This trial lets us offer travellers an unbeatable deal while testing a fresh approach against strong competition.”
The airline is deploying its A320neo aircraft, typically used for shorter routes, to keep costs low.
While these planes lack inflight entertainment, Austrian Airlines is introducing new customizable options and small onboard perks starting in December to enhance the journey.
Paired with the airline’s award-winning service, including its signature Austrian Melangerie catering, the Dubai Deal promises a delightful experience at a fraction of the usual cost.
A Smart, Lean Approach
The Dubai Deal is all about value. By using the fuel-efficient A320neo, Austrian Airlines can offer competitive fares without sacrificing quality. Travelers can choose from three fare classes to suit their needs:
- Economy Light (from EUR 314): Includes 8kg of hand luggage, perfect for light travellers.
- Economy Classic (from EUR 374): Adds a 23kg checked bag for more flexibility.
- European Business Class (from EUR 699): Features premium DO & CO catering, two pieces of hand luggage, two checked bags, and a free middle seat for extra comfort.
These fares make Dubai an attractive destination for budget-conscious travellers looking to shop, sightsee, or escape the winter chill.
Frequent flyers and mileage collectors will also find this deal hard to resist, especially during the busy year-end season.

Flight Schedule
The Dubai Deal flights are conveniently timed for both leisure and business travellers:
- Flight OS89: Departs Vienna at 18:55 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, arriving in Dubai at 03:40 local time.
- Flight OS90: Leaves Dubai at 06:05, landing in Vienna at 09:25.
This schedule offers flexibility for short getaways or longer stays in Dubai’s sunny climate.

A Test Run with Big Potential
The Dubai Deal is a four-month trial, running from December 2025 to March 2026. Its future as a permanent route depends on its success during this period.
“We’re taking a bold step to make Dubai appealing to price-savvy travellers,” Mann explains. “This experiment shows that with a focus on essentials and a bit of courage, we can explore new possibilities.”
Conclusion
Alongside the Dubai Deal, Austrian Airlines is boosting its winter offerings. The airline is expanding capacity to tropical destinations like Malé and Mauritius and will operate twice-daily flights to Bangkok.
These additions give travellers even more ways to trade winter grey for sunshine.
The Dubai Deal is a chance to experience one of the world’s most dynamic cities at an incredible price.
Whether you’re craving a shopping spree, cultural adventures, or a sunny escape, Austrian Airlines’ innovative approach makes it an attractive proposition.
